HERE posts focus on me and my own doings. These are the things in my personal life that I think others will find interesting. They may contain links to other sites.
THERE posts focus on and link to the doings of others. These are the things online that I find interesting. Obviously, I hope you do, too. These posts may also contain digressions and personal anecdotes.
EVERYWHERE combines the above two categories into one feed. This is the default setting of the front page. Using the drop down, you can choose to only view posts from the Here or There feeds.
NOTE: regardless of where a link appears on A Tiny Bell, it will never lead to a social media site. No Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Twitter, Reddit, etc. I make exceptions for MetaFilter, YouTube, and Vimeo, though I usually embed the videos.
NOW posts are ongoing personal projects, regardless of when they were initiated. These individual projects will change and new projects will be added to the Now section. Once a Now project is absolutely complete, I will move it to the Then section.
THEN posts are archived personal projects. These individual project postings won't change.
Newsletter
I plan to send an occasional "recap" newsletter. Max one per week but probably less. When you become a member at any tier (including the Free one), you'll automatically be subscribed to it. Hate email? Simply unsubscribe from the first one and you'll never hear from me again. Or, if you prefer, respond to the Membership Confirmation Email you get and just ask me to unsubscribe you and you'll not receive any newsletters.
Who am I?
My name is Lincoln Stewart. I've had numerous blogs and mailing lists between 1994 and 2018, mostly under the heteronyms VS. Dobbs, HL Manhasset, and h bahar, among others.
The most popular of my projects were Victory Shag, and Wrestle the Future to the Fucking Ground (aka WTFTTFG), which were both Dobbsian.
At present, I live in Toronto, Canada, with a dog named Shakedown.

The Sausage
A Tiny Bell was as an invite-only site until August, 2024, when I dropped the password requirement. It is run on Ghost with a modified Curie theme. Membership payments are processed by Stripe. Posts marinate in Drafts and are completed in Butterdocs. I'm partial to the Arc web browser.
